OKdo participated in the BBC micro:bit – the next gen campaign, an ambitious project to provide every primary school in the UK with tools, resources and training to support skills development in the classroom. As a key partner, OKdo distributed 675,000
micro:bits to reach 90% of UK primary schools (c. 20,000)
Launched DesignSpark 2.0, a new subscription-based service giving members more access to the bill of materials and sustainability-related information

Our DesignSpark platform is a hotbed of engineering design, innovation and resources for 1.4 million budding engineers, hobbyists, professionals and students
One of DesignSpark’s key global initiatives is #ActivistEngineering, set up to inspire engineers to put engineering responsibility at the heart of their product designs, while using their skills to positively impact people and planet
One example is the Breathe Better Bear, which is designed to monitor air quality at schools

Raised over £628,000 since 2019/20 to support TWMP Foundation
110 volunteers helped to build 39 flatpack washing machines which were sent to communities in need across India, Kenya and Uganda
As a sponsor of Engineers Without Borders Engineering for People Design Challenge, we encourage 20,000 students a year to take part in design challenges that broaden their awareness of environmental, social and economic impacts
