  • Allied Electronics & Automation and Fort Worth Christian School partner to advance STEAM education

Fort Worth, Texas, 17 May 2018 - Allied Electronics & Automation has partnered with Fort Worth Christian School to aid in the school’s STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) education.

“Allied is committed to helping educators prepare students for careers in engineering and technology,” said Frank Cantwell, Allied Vice President of Product and Supplier Management. “Fort Worth Christian School has an outstanding Math, Science, and Technology curriculum. We are excited to help students and teachers further their learning in these important fields.”

Allied supplied the elementary, middle, and high schools with more than 200 industrial automation components, ranging from Raspberry Pis to LEDs (light-emitting diodes) and from 3D printers to test equipment, for use in the classroom and at summer camps. In addition, Allied personnel will provide training to teachers, hands-on demonstrations to students, and original curricula to the schools.

“Our partnership with Allied is an innovative synergy between Preschool to 12th-Grade academics and the private sector,” said Ken Cheeseman, President of Fort Worth Christian School. “As we prepare our students to lead their generation, Allied is a great partner in preparing them with in-demand skills to succeed in the 21st century.”

“We are so fortunate to have Allied as a resource,” said Kenan Clay, Fort Worth Christian Technology Coordinator. “Working with the Allied Product Managers and Web Developers, students will benefit from practical applications in today’s environment.”

Allied employees delivered a truckload of cabinets containing electronic components to Fort Worth Christian School. The delivery was welcomed by students, faculty, and staff, who will disburse the products throughout the elementary, middle, and high school buildings.
