Our employee engagement score decreased to 75 (down from 78 in 2022/23), however actions have been taken to refine our strategy, values and operating model to enhance our people plan to continue to support our people into the future
In 2023/24 we made improvements to our engagement survey by focusing questions on the topics that matter most to our people (benchmarked externally) and by providing additional information around the meaning of questions
Increased the number of managers who receive engagement reports for their teams and held regular upskilling sessions

Our all accident frequency rate declined by 8% to 0.37 per 200,000 hours worked in 2023/24 against our 2019/20 baseline
LTA frequency rate decreased to 0.19 per 200,000 hours worked from 0.27 in 2022/23
All our sites have health and safety management systems in place – of these, 29 sites are certified to ISO 45001 or an equivalent standard, covering 58% of floor area and 33% of sites
We provide all of our people with an Employee Assistance Programme, giving them and their families with access to confidential counselling, advice and support
