Oxford, UK, 4 April 2017 – Electrocomponents plc (LSE: ECM), the global distributor for engineers, has announced the appointment of Thomas Nowak as President, Product and Supplier Management. He will join the company on 1 July as a member of the Executive Management Team, reporting directly to CEO Lindsley Ruth.
Thomas will be responsible for defining and implementing global supplier and range strategies across the RS and Allied businesses. He will also be responsible for an end-to-end pricing strategy and gross margin management, as well as working closely with strategic suppliers globally to deliver a calendar of product marketing campaigns.
Thomas is a senior executive adept at running large and complex businesses, with a reputation for implementing strategic change. His experience spans online, product and supplier management, and marketing in multiple markets, across consumer electronics and retail. Before joining Electrocomponents, Thomas was Senior Vice President, Marketing, Merchandising and Online at Staples. Prior to this, he spent time at Bol.com and Kesa, and also held senior roles at Hewlett Packard, Samsung and Philips.
