One of six finalists in the ‘company of the year’ category
LONDON, UK, 16 March 2021 – Electrocomponents plc (LSE: ECM), a global omni-channel solutions partner for industrial customers and suppliers, has been shortlisted in the ‘company of the year’ category of the plc awards 2020, which recognise the successes and achievements of all companies listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange.
Electrocomponents is one of six shortlisted public companies in the ‘company of the year’ category alongside Clipper Logistics plc, Genus plc, Intermediate Capital Group plc, Kainos Group plc and Treatt plc. The winner will be announced on 22 September 2021 at an awards ceremony at Hotel Intercontinental, Park Lane, London.
The company of the year will be selected based on a set of criteria comprising long-term vision and strategy; share price; sustainable profitability; professional management, conservatively run growth; leadership in environmental, social and governance (ESG) guidelines; stakeholder and supply chain accountability; and the provision of a diverse and inclusive workplace. The winner will also show evidence that it is financed in a way that supports the longevity, sustainability and resilience of the business, including effective succession planning.

At the plc awards 2016, Electrocomponents was the winner of the ‘turnaround of the year’ category and shortlisted for ‘company of the year’. In 2018, the company was shortlisted in two categories: ‘CEO of the year’ and ‘transformation of the year’.
