Distributor profits from Jürgen’s proven industry and business experience as it aims for leading market position
London, UK, 10 October 2017 - RS Components (RS), the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE:ECM), the global distributor for engineers, has announced Jürgen Lampert as its new Vice President Central Europe. The appointment brings an experienced driver of performance and change back into one of the company’s most important regions, underlining its aim to be the market leader.
Jürgen is well positioned to lead this significant growth region for RS, having been with the distributor for 14 years and started his RS career in German sales. He went on to hold management positions in both Germany and Central Europe. He also brings global expertise to the role having spent five years in Asia-Pacific for RS. In 2015 he was appointed regional manager. During his tenure he helped the region to further growth and initiated sustainable steps that made it one of the most dynamic regions for the business.
Prior to joining RS, Jürgen was Managing Director of a wholesaler of tools in Germany. He also held various positions for Hilti (Schaan) AG in the Principality of Liechtenstein after completing his Marketing Diploma in St. Gallen / Switzerland.
"It’s great to be back in Europe and I’m really looking forward to this exciting challenge," Jürgen commented. "The Central Europe region with Germany as the main market is a growth driver for the entire Group. We offer a wide range of products and a high availability from stock, and combine this with extensive industry-specific knowledge and technical expertise, so that RS is always the first choice for customers and suppliers."
