Oxford, UK, 13 April 2016 - RS Components (RS), the trading brand of Electrocomponents plc (LSE:ECM), the global distributor for engineers, has signed a distribution agreement with Huber & Suhner, the Switzerland-based manufacturer of advanced electrical and optical connectivity products. RS is now stocking over 270 Huber & Suhner data and energy connectors and related passive components aimed at communications, transportation and industrial applications.
Huber & Suhner differs from other component manufacturers in that it particularly targets applications with complex connectivity requirements. In doing so, it can offer engineering support and customer specific features that add substantial value to end product designs. Huber & Suhner products are known for their exceptional quality, reliability and durability, even under harsh environmental conditions.
The Huber & Suhner product range stocked by RS spans two core areas of connectivity:
- Radio frequency (RF) components, including connectors, cables, assemblies, antennas, lightning protection and resistive components.
- Low frequency components: an advanced range of databus products, signal and power cables, connectors, assemblies and cable systems.
Phil Stanway, Sales Partner Director Northern Europe at Huber & Suhner, commented: "We are delighted to be working alongside RS Components because of its outstanding international distribution network and strong eCommerce operation, as well as a clear focus on customer service. Customers will benefit from unprecedented ease of access to our advanced connectivity technology, backed by expert support in putting it to best use."
Chris Liddell, Global Product Group Manager at RS Components, said: "The Huber & Suhner product range now stocked by RS has been carefully honed by marrying two core competencies — RF and low frequency — to three main markets: comms, transport and industrial. The result is an eclectic selection of advanced components that will allow us to add significantly greater value at the high end of our connectivity range."
