Alex is chief executive officer of Boots, the leading health, wellness and beauty retailer and trusted healthcare provider. Prior to joining Boots in September 2026, he was chief executive officer of Currys plc, where he led the business's transformation into a digital-first omnichannel retailer and services provider, with much improved colleague engagement, customer satisfaction and financial performance. He was previously chief executive officer of Shop Direct (now the Very Group) where he led the business's digital transformation from a catalogue retailer to one of the UK's leading e-commerce businesses. Alex brings extensive experience in digital transformation, accelerating omni-channel growth and embedding customer focus.
