As part of Engineering Week 2026, RS Americas hosted 11 eighth‑grade engineering students from Fort Worth’s Young Women’s Leadership Academy (YWLA) for an immersive STEM experience. Delivered in collaboration with the Bloomers and Elevate Employee Resource Groups (ERGs), the event showcased RS’ commitment to inclusive education, gender equity, and community engagement.
The students toured Fort Worth's high-tech warehouse, learning how automation, robotics, and advanced inventory systems support efficient industrial operations. At the RS Technical Solutions Center, they participated in a hands‑on electronics activity using breadboards, guided by RS application engineers who demonstrated how technical concepts translate into real‑world solutions.
The visit also included a career panel with female leaders from across RS, highlighting diverse pathways into engineering, technology, and operations. The day concluded with informal conversations over lunch, giving students the chance to ask questions and build confidence in pursuing STEM futures. The event formed part of RS’ broader support for the YWLA, including sponsorship of the school’s Diamond Luncheon honouring graduating seniors.
RS champions education, innovation, and community and is committed to making amazing happen for a better world. So, we’re proud to welcome local youth to explore our business and discover the exciting STEM opportunities we offer. This was also a great opportunity for two of our impactful ERGs to collaborate together and learn from both the experience and the students.
